JudiBakes Terms And Conditions

DEPOSITS



All wedding cakes require a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total cost. All other cake orders require a non refundable deposit of 20% but not less that £10.

Please note that all deposits are non refundable and non transferable.

All deposits become due when the order has been placed and details checked and agreed by you.

 All orders are deemed to have been accepted only when the deposit has been paid.

 

Please note that all deposits are non-refundable for cancellation unless there are special circumstances and JudiBakes agrees to refund the deposit.

 

All sales made by JudiBakes are subject to the following terms and conditions.

Nothing contained within these terms and conditions affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Please read the following terms and conditions: if there is anything you don’t understand please feel free to contact us.

 

PRICE

 

The price for the cake order shall be as stated when you order. You agree to pay the full price to JudiBakes in accordance with the order  after the details are checked and agreed by you.

PAYMENTS

 

Payment can be made by cash, BACs or Paypal with the additional cost charge of 5%, we do not however take payment through check form. Many thanks.

 

FINAL PAYMENT

 

Final payment for all wedding cakes must be made at least 2 weeks prior to delivery/collection/set up and for all other cakes no later than the date of collection/delivery/set up.

 

NON-PAYMENT

 

In the event that any payment is subsequently declined, the order will not be completed or released until alternative funding arrangements have been agreed and payment is made in full. The customer will be responsible for the payment of any additional charges which have been incurred as a result of payment failure.

 

ALTERATIONS TO ORDER

 

Your cake is very important to JudiBakes, so please take the time to check your order carefully when placed and on collection, if needed, ie wrong spelling names/dates due to human error please let JB know and JB will do their best to put it right. It is your responsibility to advice JudiBakes of any alterations to the original order. JudiBakes reserves the right to increase a quoted fee in the event that the Customer requests a variation to the work agreed. Whilst every effort will be made to assist all clients, please note that late changes cannot always be guaranteed but JudiBakes will do their very best.

 

LOOKING AFTER YOUR CAKE

 

To enusre your cake is enjoyed at it's best, please observe the following guide lines:

 

Once cakes are colllected , they are transported at your own risk and no liability can be accepted by JudiBakes for any subsequent damage to cake(s).

 

When collecting and transporting cake(s), please ensure you have a flat area in the car boot big enough to accommodate a box up to 20" square.

 

All cake(s) should be eaten within 3 days of collection or delivery.

 

Cake(s) should be stored in the box it is supplied in, in a cool dry place off the floor and away from strong odours. Do not store in fridge.

 

When cutting cake(s), please remove all decorations,  either edible or non-edible i.e. jewels. Although most decorations are bespoke and edible they may contain dowelling or florist wire.

 

CAKE COMPONENT PARTS

 

From time to time certain materials for JB's celebration cakes and wedding cakes may become obsolete or no longer available from our suppliers. This is totally out of JudiBakes control, however, we will endeavour to re-design your cake to reflect as closely as possible the original design using replacement products. In all cases JudiBakes will try to contact you to advise you of any such changes, however JudiBakes reserves the right to replace these with components of equal or better quality without consultation.

 

DELIVERY

 

Your order can be delivered subject to availability. If you have a specific delivery date and require delivery before a given time, please specify this when placing your order. JB will do their best to accommodate your requirements

It is the Customers responsibility to ensure that you have given us the correct delivery information, and that someone is available to receive your cake. A signature will be required for the receipt of the order upon delivery.

 

SETTING UP

 

Should you require your cake to be delivered, JudiBakes will deliver your cake as agreed and will want to ensure it is displayed at its best. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have provided JudiBakes with the delivery details and arrangements made with the venue for the location and display of your cake. Once the cake has been delivered /collected and signed for, JudiBakes is unable to accept liability for any interference/problems with or damage to the cake thereafter.

If a cake is to be delivered by JudiBakes, a signature will be required from your venue management confirming the cake has been received in good condition. A photograph of the cake will be taken prior to departure by JudiBakes to verify that the cake has been delivered and left in good condition. JudiBakes take no responsibility after delivering the cake to the venue if they then fail to be able to set up/display the cake as it is intended.

 

CANCELLATION/REFUNDS

 

All small celebration cakes under £50 must be cancelled 1 week prior to collection otherwise full payment of the cake must be made.

Wedding cakes must be cancelled 28 days prior to collection otherwise the full amount of the cake must be made.

Payment Plans

In this current climate budgets are tight, Judi Bakes is here to help so please contact us and we can set a prepayment plan up for all personal budgets.

Complaints :

• Corrections and repairs to cakes, including inscription mistakes, can be corrected on the same day in most cases. You are required to give Judi Bakes this opportunity and must let us know of the problem within one hour of accepting your cake.
• Complaints are very rare and so Judi Bakes take's them very seriously. Some complaints may require further investigation and an immediate refund may not always be possible.
• Cakes, or part of cakes, must be returned within three days to ensure Judi Bakes are able to fairly assess the nature of the complaint.
• The maximum refund we offer is the value of the cake and delivery. Further compensation is not available.
